Touchnote.com is a photo-focused greeting card site. It launched to the public in late 2008. It is a print-on-demand website that produces highly personalised postcards and greeting cards for consumers.

Role:
LAMP Developer - primary role will be developing in PHP and MySQL, using the CakePHP framework, for a print on demand ecommerce site.
Will gain experience of industry best practice web development, using an Agile methodology.
Will gain experience in APIs and enabling mobile applications for iPhone, Symbian, and more
Part of a small team with scope to own features/projects from inception to completion.

Essential skills/experience:
· PHP experience, experience in a PHP MVC framework (Cake highly desirable), general front end skills (HTML, CSS, and Javascript)

Highly Desirable Skills/experience:
· Industry experience, inc portfolio / case studies of live examples of your work
· Knowledge of the CakePHP framework
· More advanced HTML / CSS
· More advanced Javascript inc JQuery
· Flex/Flash/ActionScript
· Use of version control (SVN)
· Basic knowledge of Apache, and unix command line skills
· QA / Unit Testing
· Experience of print, including imagery, PDF
· Knowledge of MySQL, inc complex queries, and query optimisation

Desirable skills/experience:
· More advanced Sys Admin / Engineer knowledge (Unix, Apache, etc)
· Understanding / experience in Wordpress CMS
· Experience with eCommerce websites (inc payment gateways, such as PayPal, landing page / conversion experiments, ecommerce metrics, etc)
· Integrating with 3rd party APIs
· Social Network app development
· Knowledge/experience of integrating mobile apps with server side APIs
